Making your world Hardcore Mode.

If your world has been previously generated (if you already have connected to your server and not generated a new world), you will need to follow a few extra steps to change the settings to activate hardcore mode. You can do this by using NBTExplorer, you can also however generate a new world which will generate in hardcore mode so we will show you both methods:

Method 1 - Generating a new world

Firstly go to you server on the Pebblehost Panel

Using the Utilities please select the Reset World (WARNING: This will remove all your world files you will lose all in game progress)

Now go to the console page

Your server will reboot and remove your world then will boot back up with a new fresh world and that world will be set to hardcore mode

Method 2 - Modifying a world you have already been playing on

First make sure you have downloaded and installed NBTExplorer from

Now Make a note of the world name for your server

Go to the File Manager

Select the world name you took a note of earlier

Download the level.dat by selecting it and then pressing download

Start NBTExplorer and open the level.dat downloaded from your server.

Once opened double click on hardcore and set the value to 1 instead of 0

Upload the level.dat to your server replacing the file you downloaded and then start your server up.

The completes switching your server to Hardcore Mode.
